NORTH COUNTY SCORES 17 GOALS IN WIN

With Captain Eric Conner out with the Flu, the Cavaliers needed other players to step up and score.  The game started out a little slow as Silver Lake scored the first two goals of the game.  North County went on a run scoring the next nine goals and took a 9-3 lead into halftime.  It didn't stop there, the second half the Cavaliers scored another 8 goals and the defense only gave up 1 more as North County nets their first league win this season, second win overall.  Junior Edgar Mendoza led all scorers with 6 goals and 1 assist.  Freshman Attack Devin Conner Scored 2 goals and added 3 assists.  Freshman Attack Marcus Fakkema scored 3 goals with 2 assists.  Cody Braam scored 2 goals, won 8 face-offs and had a team high 12 groundballs.  The defense also stepped up and played great allowing only 10 shots on goal and the long poles scooped up 13 groundballs. "It was a total team effort today, everyone stepped up big and played hungry for the win." Coach White said after the game.  "We were patient, worked the ball around, and took good shots within the offense for the first time all year. Very proud of the boys today."
